Tina Faraj
Vice President
Set Design
Props Manager

Although Tina has a
Business Degree we utilize
her creativity more than
anything else.  Oil painting
is her medium of choice,
yet Tina uses her artistic
talents to create wonderful
props and sets for our
productions.  Among our
students’ favorites have
been fishing poles,
campfire that lights up,
and a concession tray that
everyone wanted to eat!

Nina Bartleson
President/Director/Instructor

In 1993 Nina's children were involved in their community children's performing
group.  This group’s instructor relocated out of state leaving her children and
others without an artistic outlet.  With backgrounds in voice, dance, and drama
the Bartleson family created Harmony & Rhythm to fill that void.  Harmony &
Rhythm's popularity spread and has taught hundreds of children at studios in
Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and now in Florida!

Together with Harmony & Rhythm Nina taught Choir and Drama at Laura Gale
Elementary in the Tucson Unified School District.  Other teaching positions
include Holdaway Elementary, Metcalf Elementary, John Poole Middle School,
and TaVaci School of Performing Arts.

“What a blessing it is to share my passion for the arts with my students.  To
watch their confidence grow as they master a new concept is truly rewarding.”

guitar, and percussion

Sandy graduated from Western
Michigan with a Bachelor of
Science in Elementary Education.
Her major area of focus includes
music and creative arts.  Her
experience includes vocal music
and music education in the
classroom, as well as creative
movement.  She has taught
classroom and instrumental music
from preschool to 8th grade in
Provo, Utah, Kalamazoo, Mattawan
and Paw
Paw, Michigan.  She has
served over 30 years as a
educator, private instructor, and
musician in various capacities.  She
has played professional summer
stock in the Tibbets Opera House
in Coldwater, Michigan and
performed in Head Start, public

Sandy loves to teach music
because it has the ability to make
children more sensitive to beauty
in emotional expression. This allows
them to have a creative outlet to
cling to, and to experience more
depth as a person...to develop
more compassion, gentleness, love,
and, in short, a greater
appreciation of life.
